Retreats

Join us for our upcoming Peruvian Retreat and Plant Spirit Ceremony in Luzerne, Michigan with Peruvian Medicine Man and author Hachumak.  The retreat is May 29-31, 2026.

Immerse yourself in the ancient teachings and powerful medicine of a sacred plant style ceremony for physical and emotional healing, spiritual connection, and personal awareness. Hachumak is bringing back an important but often left out chapter of this ancient shamanic work, therefore a highlight of the retreat will be a group ceremony led by Hachumuk. He, as the medicine man, brings the energetic presence of the sacred plants that he is connected with as a healing force for those in attendance without the ingestion of a plant brew or any other substances.

The sacred plants from Hachumuk’s traditional plant brew recipe, including the ayahuasca vine and several other sacred plants, will come as an energetic presence to offer their physical and soul healing. Additionally, Hachumak’s expertise in energetic healing and clearing enhances the ceremony.  This unique dual combination can help release deeply entrenched trauma as well as open personal and spiritual awareness.

Hachumak utilizes the tools and techniques taught to him through his traditional lineage during this type of ceremonial experience.  Prior to attending the Plant Spirit Ceremony, he will discuss how he connects energetically with these plant allies as well
as the cultural uses and significance of them.  It is essential to be able to approach the plants with reverence and harmony.  This initiatory relationship with the plants during this retreat can be essential to developing your own personal relationship with all plants including sacred plants in an appropriate and profound way thus allowing you to come into right relationship with these powerful allies.

Additionally, you will learn how to navigate the healing space offered by the plants, understanding their language and messages during and following the experience.  You will also discover how to integrate the teachings and healings that you receive from the plant spirits as integration of the ceremony insights is essential for personal transformation.

You can find the full agenda of the events for the retreat below.

Visit The Jungle

Hachumak offers retreats in a comfortable compound at the shore of the Amazon river itself. There will be deep and transformative sacred plant ceremonies followed by private sharings and integrations, and also spending time everyday with Hachumak sharing stories and discussing the craft of traditional healing. Here will also be a variety of activities such as walkabouts and boat rides to enjoy the rainforest ecosystem and meet many plant species and eventually some animal encounters.

Retreats offered are usually around seven and eleven days in length. A Medicine Man's brew encompasses several sacred plants that work harmoniously to provide healing on different levels. Besides the recipe being passed down through the teacher's lineage, a personal relationship needs to be established with each of the plants present in the recipe. Hachumak's traditional recipe includes several plants beyond the core relationship of Ayahuasca and Chacruna. Other plants contribute with their generosity and specific healing force to produce a rich medicinal brew.
